Execution is a critical piece of so much in business. I like the inclusion of the outside perspective in the suggestion. I wrote a series of blogposts about "Eyeballs" with that exact theme. Sometimes you need someone to cry "stinking fish"!

Great comment on the outside perspective.

In my view, the value of outside facilitation when it comes to sorting out key issues and opportunities and deciding how to act on them is seriously underrated. Bias, myopia, denial and closed mindedness often block or impede progress and change. A trained outsider with a robust process can help the organization cut through the impediments to positive change.
